Q: How does a Beam system improve indoor air quality?

A: Everything that is sucked up in a Beam System travels directly to the power unit located in the garage; there is no opportunity for dirt or allergens to escape back into the indoor environment.

Q: How many inlets are installed in a home?

A: The hose is 30' or 35' long, so usually one inlet per 750-800 square feet will provide good coverage. We try to place inlets in hallways or other spots where you can clean 2 or 3 rooms at a time before moving on to the next inlet. We are also careful to place inlets in spots that won't end up behind furniture or cause you to have to stretch to reach a corner.

Q: How much does a Beam system cost?

A: The cost varies depending on the size of the home (and therefore the number of inlets needed to cover it) as well as the attachments and accessories selected, but the range for a fully-installed system is generally from around $1000 to $2500.

Q: To install a system in an existing home, do you have to remove sheetrock?

A: This is almost never the case-- we can usually find ways to route the PVC pipe that don't require sheetrock removal or big repairs.

Q: What if the pipe gets clogged?

A: Although not unheard of, clogs are rare because the narrowest point in the system is at the wall-end of the hose. If you do end up with a clogged pipe, we will give you a couple of tricks to try on your own that often clear the pipe, or our service tech can come to your house and clear it for you.
